Reflecting on our Discovery Time creations - week 5

Today we chose our own STARS focus when doing Discovery Time and reflected on whether we achieved it at the end of the session. Here are our creations!

SWIM MAGIC last day

Today was our last lesson with the crew! We have all made incredible progress with our swimming and enjoyed learning new skills.

SWIM MAGIC

Today was very exciting in our Swim Magic lessons today. We all learned how to be safe in the water wearing a life jacket. We started in the shallow end of the big pool then most of us succeeded in jumping in at the deep end of the pool and swimming on our backs the whole length of the pool.  Well done R11, you are truly reaching for the STARS!!!!

Trip to the museum

This week we went to the museum to learn about minibeasts. We made our own minibeast badges, drew our favourite butterfly or moth after observing and identifying them, identified minibeasts in an aquarium, looked in leaf litter for minibeasts, and observed and handledcshells.  At the end we looked at a live weta. We can now talk about habitats and features of minibeasts!!! When we got back on such a hot day we had a well deserved swim in the pool at school!!!
