Kai festival

Today we celebrated our 'Around the world' topic by bringing in food from all over the world to taste. We enjoyed dancing to and listening to music from around the world while we were eating.  We had food from Wales, USA, England, Ireland, Scotland, Mexico, Italy, Japan, China and many more countries.  Thank you to all the parents who made food for the occasion - the children had a great time!

Junius Hour

This week we finished our Junius Hour projects which we have been working on for the last 6 weeks. We chose something that we were passionate about and made our creations for someone special. We reflected on how we could have improved it and also shared other work we were proud of.  Parents and the middle and senior syndicates came to have a look at our work.  Here are some photos:

R11's assembly item

On Friday we did our assembly item which was about children from around the world. We all carried flags to show where we and our families come from and there are a large range of cultures in our class - Kiwis, Aussies, families from Scotland, England, Bulgaria, Brazil, India, Nuie, Fiji, Holland and South Korea. Take a look at our amazing costumes!

Our Autumn Walk

We had a fun but chilly morning at Fairfield Park doing a range of activities! We were frightened by Mr Spence who pretended to be the troll under the bridge and we sang in the bandstand! We did a scavenger hunt and proudly showed what we found. Then we did leaf sculptures and had a leaf fight! We love AUTUMN!
