R11's assembly item

On Friday we did our assembly item which was about children from around the world. We all carried flags to show where we and our families come from and there are a large range of cultures in our class - Kiwis, Aussies, families from Scotland, England, Bulgaria, Brazil, India, Nuie, Fiji, Holland and South Korea. Take a look at our amazing costumes!

Our Autumn Walk

We had a fun but chilly morning at Fairfield Park doing a range of activities! We were frightened by Mr Spence who pretended to be the troll under the bridge and we sang in the bandstand! We did a scavenger hunt and proudly showed what we found. Then we did leaf sculptures and had a leaf fight! We love AUTUMN!

Discovery time and workshops

For Discovery Time we are now visiting all of the junior classes in our syndicate. We focus on the STARS, our learner's qualities during these sessions.  We can actively collaborate, take the initiative and show empathy towards other.
In workshops we are learning about other cultures around the world. We have enjoyed creating traditional African necklaces.
